An ordinance was approved by the City’s Governing Body on December 20, 2005, which declares several arterial and collector streets in the city as “Snow Emergency Routes.”

The following streets were given this designation:

- Manassas Drive – Baker Street to Golf Court;
- Denver Drive – Manassas Drive to Rugby Road;
- Digital Drive – Manassas Drive to West Carondelet Drive;
- Polk Drive – Old Centreville Road to Manassas Drive;
- Carondelet Drive – All;
- Matthew Drive – All.

This ordinance allows the City Manager to declare a prohibition on parking along snow emergency routes when weather is forecast for snow, sleet, or freezing rain conditions that would cause extreme restriction of traffic flow and unsafe travel on these routes without immediate plowing, sanding, and/or salting.
