Cougar Faculty and Staff

The Cougar faculty is committed to the social, emotional and academic growth of each child entrusted to their care.  Cougar faculty members are selected for their high degree of professionalism, subject expertise and diverse life experience.  They work together to create and implement a warm, child centered learning environment that combines a high tech facility with a high touch atmosphere.  Cougar's "school within a school" model allows teachers to know their students well and respond to their students' needs in innovative ways. 

Student instruction is further enhanced by a number of dedicated, trained teacher assistants.  Teacher assistants provide individual help to students in areas of phonemic awareness, special education, technology and physical education.  The support provided by teacher assistants allows all students to receive personal, targeted instruction in areas of need.

MPCS Email Policy

Manassas Park City Schools has provided all staff members with a professional Email address to support their professional responsibilities as employees with MPCS. Please remember that email is an informal means of communication to assist parents and community members to keep in touch with school personnel.

Effective email in an educational setting includes email being used for clarification of assignments, due date questions, field trip questions, request for a phone call, thank you notes, any information about the school or district, communicating a question or opinion with colleagues and staff members, etc.

Email is not recommended to be used for discipline issues, student information (privacy laws), or emergencies (example: Johnny/Suzy needs to ride the bus home today), and items of a time sensitive nature. Personal contact with staff members is encouraged to discuss private issues.
